Since 1967 in Mäder

From production expertise to textile solution development.

The textile history of the Huber Group reaches back to 1908. An important milestone for today’s Arula was the opening of the fully integrated production operation in Mäder in 1967. For decades, fabrics for brands of the Huber Group and for international customers were developed, knitted, dyed and finished there.

Since 2011, this fabric production has operated as an independent company under the name Arula GmbH. This made a business area visible that plays a central role within the group: the development and production of high-quality knitted fabrics - made in Austria.

01

Fabric Development

Arula develops textile solutions for underwear, bodywear, fashion, activewear, home, TechTex and other demanding areas of application.

02

Fully Integrated Production

At the Mäder site, Arula combines knitting, dyeing, finishing and textile refinement into a continuous textile production chain.

03

Made in Austria

Arula stands for textile manufacturing in Austria, high quality standards and the close connection of technological expertise, experience and responsibility.

Company profile

The fabric expertise of the Huber Group.

Within the Huber Group, Arula is the specialist for high-quality knitted fabrics, textile product development and finishing. The company creates the textile foundation for products worn directly on the skin — combining material understanding, technical precision and industrial manufacturing.

The company works both for brands of the Huber Group and for international customers. This makes Arula not only a production site, but also a textile development partner with its own technology, quality assurance and deep expertise in natural fibres and cellulosic man-made fibres.

Operational role

Between material, technology and application.

Arula translates textile requirements into concrete fabric qualities. From the selection of suitable raw yarns to knitting techniques, dyeing, finishing and quality testing, the Mäder site combines development and production in one closely connected process.

This role makes Arula an important part of value creation within Huber Holding AG: the company represents the area of the group where fibres, yarns and ideas become high-quality textile surfaces.

01

Knitting

In the knitting department, high-quality raw yarns are turned into different fabric qualities for underwear, bodywear, fashion and technical applications.

02

Dyeing

The dyeing department processes different fibre types and combines modern machine technology with laboratory testing and reproducible quality.

03

Finishing

Through finishing and textile refinement processes, fabrics are created with special feel, function, stability and application-specific properties.

Quality & responsibility

Textile quality begins before the finished product.

Arula works in an area where quality does not first become visible in the finished garment. It begins at the level of fibre, yarn, fabric construction, dyeing, finishing and testing. This is where the company’s strength lies: in the combination of textile detail knowledge, technical equipment and clear quality processes.

As an Austrian production company, Arula focuses on responsible use of resources, continuous process optimisation and transparent standards. Certifications such as OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, OEKO-TEX® STeP, ISO 9001 and REACH underline the commitment to quality, product safety and sustainable production conditions.

Value creation within the group

Arula makes textile expertise visible.

Arula represents a part of the Huber Group that often becomes visible behind the brands, but is essential to their quality: the textile substance. The company develops and produces fabrics that must meet requirements for comfort, function, durability and processing.

This makes Arula more than a production operation. The company connects heritage, technology and material expertise — and shows that textile value creation within the Huber Group is rooted not only in brands, but also in fabrics, processes and production knowledge.
